Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Portaro Status provides professional assistance in airline elite status matching and tier fast-track applications. These Terms & Conditions govern your purchase and use of Portaro Status services. By submitting an application form, purchasing a match, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

2. Nature of the Service

Portaro Status is a trial commercial offering developed as part of the ESSEC & Mannheim EMBA programme. It is operated as a student project in a pilot phase and provided on an “as is” and “best efforts” basis without warranties or guarantees beyond those required by law.

Portaro Status facilitates and manages status match applications with selected airlines and alliances on behalf of customers. Portaro Status is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially partnered with any airline or alliance unless explicitly stated.

Nothing in these Terms limits your non-excludable consumer rights under Singapore law.

3. Scope of Service

Portaro Status provides:

• Assessment of your current airline elite status eligibility

• Strategic recommendation of suitable airline or alliance match options

• Preparation and submission of status match or fast-track applications on your behalf

• Communication coordination with airlines where applicable

Status Issuance & Fulfilment

Any granting, issuance, activation, digital confirmation, physical membership card production, delivery of status credentials, or provision of elite benefits is carried out solely by the respective airline at its own discretion and under its own terms.

Portaro Status does not issue airline status, membership cards, digital credentials, or alliance benefits. Portaro Status acts solely as an independent intermediary facilitating the application process.

All timelines, formats (digital or physical), benefit activation, and fulfilment logistics are determined exclusively by the airline.

No Guarantee of Approval

Airline status matches, fast-track approvals, or alliance recognitions are solely at the discretion of the respective airline or alliance.

Portaro Status does not guarantee:

• Approval of a full or partial match

• Granting of a specific tier level

• Approval within a specific timeframe

• Ongoing validity of matched status

Approval decisions are made independently by the airline and may change without notice.

If a match application is rejected, no additional cost is charged beyond the agreed match fee unless explicitly stated otherwise at checkout.

4. Plans, Pricing & Payment

Portaro Status charges per match application.

Promotional Pricing

• Full Match: S$49.00

• Partial Match: S$25.00

Standard Pricing

• Full Match: S$99.00

• Partial Match: S$49.00

A “Full Match” refers to an application targeting a comparable elite tier.
A “Partial Match” refers to a lower or conditional tier match where full equivalence is unlikely.

Payments are processed in Singapore Dollars (SGD) via Wix-approved gateways.

Fees cover the professional assessment and application handling. Fees are not contingent upon approval unless explicitly stated.

 

5. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information

• Provide valid proof of current elite status where required

• Open a loyalty account with the target airline if necessary

• Provide login credentials or temporary access where required for application purposes (if applicable)

• Authorize Portaro Status to act on your behalf

Failure to provide accurate information may result in rejection by the airline.

6. Authorization & Representation

By submitting the application form and completing payment, you expressly authorize Portaro Status to:

• Apply for airline status matches on your behalf

• Communicate with airlines in your name

• Submit required documents including but not limited to:

  • Status screenshots

  • Boarding passes

  • Membership numbers

  • Identification documents where required

• Register you for airline loyalty programmes where necessary to facilitate the match

You confirm that you are legally entitled to authorize such actions and that all information provided is truthful.

 

7. Refunds

As this is a professional facilitation service involving administrative work and application handling:

• Fees are generally non-refundable once the application has been submitted.

• If Portaro Status determines prior to submission that a match attempt is not viable, cancellation may be requested before processing.

• If the service cannot be performed due to operational impossibility before submission, any paid amount will be reimbursed.

Rejection by an airline does not constitute service failure.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, Portaro Status and its affiliates are not liable for:

• Airline rejection decisions

• Tier downgrades or later revocations

• Delayed or missing issuance of airline status cards or digital credentials

• Changes in airline policies or alliance rules

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses

• Loss of expected travel benefits

Portaro Status provides professional facilitation only and does not control airline decisions, benefit activation, or fulfilment.

This clause does not limit or exclude liability where doing so would contravene applicable law or your non-excludable statutory rights.

9. Data Protection & Privacy (PDPA)

We collect personal data necessary to evaluate and process your application, including but not limited to:

• Name

• Email address

• Airline membership numbers

• Status documentation

• Identification documents (if required by airlines)

• Travel history where relevant

By submitting the form, you consent to:

• Storage of your personal data

• Transmission of relevant data to airlines for match purposes

• Registration in airline loyalty programmes where required

• Communication with airlines on your behalf

We notify you of the purposes of collection and obtain consent where required under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). You may withdraw consent with reasonable notice, though doing so may prevent us from completing your application.

As this is a student pilot project, customer data will be deleted upon project conclusion unless retention is required by law (e.g., tax or accounting requirements).

Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies and may use third-party tools placing non-essential cookies. Where consent is required, we obtain it and provide a mechanism to withdraw consent at any time with future effect.

10. Changes & Termination

We may modify these Terms, pricing, and availability. Changes take effect upon publication on our website and apply to future purchases.

If a change materially impacts an already-paid but unprocessed application and we cannot reasonably perform as described, you may request a refund prior to submission.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
